Is the world in chaos…or is it us?

Updated: Oct 14, 2022

This year, I have been taking the time to step back and be the observer of what is happening in the world instead of reacting to it. In doing so, I see many people living their best life ever and also many others who seem to be increasingly caught up in what can seem like inescapable chaos.

What is the difference between these groups of people? Why are some people seemingly unaffected by all the madness going on in the world?

Those whom I’ve spoken to living their best life is that they’ve simply tuned themselves to a different frequency where the chaos doesn’t enter their lives. They are focused on what they want to create and using basic metaphysical principles to manifest it.

I will say from my own experience, the greatest obstacle to creating my life as I want it to be is quite honestly…me.

It’s getting me to make different choices with my time, different choices with my entertainment and really tuning into what feels good and what doesn’t feel good.

Sure it may seem responsible to turn into the news and know what’s going on in the world, but unless you are in a position to truly influence events, how does your anger or frustration help the world to heal.

I can answer that question for you. It doesn’t.

It doesn’t help you and it doesn’t help others.

I heard Dr. Wayne Dyer say, “There is no amount of feeling bad about something that will help someone else feel good.”

Whatever you think and feel, you send as vibrations out into the world and you will receive not only a reflection of that energy, but others who are tuned into those frequencies will also be affected by it.

If you take the most recent example of the shooting in Buffalo, the shooter was influenced by other angry people in the world who developed theories for why they perceived events to be happening.

Some people relay theories as “click bait” to make money whether that revenue is gained on the internet or through viewership. Some news channels prey on the repressed emotional energies of others for the purpose of money and power. It has nothing to do with truth or honor, despite how they portray themselves.

It is normal however to feel frustrated about mass shootings that happen again and again, but if we are to truly change this situation, continuing to express the vibrational frequency of frustration will not create a different result, for this is how we got here and why we keep creating the same results over and over.

We also can’t expect that the media outlets who agitate others for their own profits are going to awaken to the error of their ways and change. As long as what they’re doing is reaping rewards, there is no reason to change.

We also cannot change them by focusing our anger on them for doing what they do, for anything we give our attention to grows stronger. This is one of the most basic metaphysical principles.

Wherever we place our focus, we are giving energy to that. This is why movements such as “War on Drugs”, “War on Terror” etc. really don’t work as advertised and if we’re really being honest about it, they’re not designed to solve the problem. They’re designed to look like they’re solving the problem.

We have to develop some internal discipline first as individuals and then collectively with others to focus on what it is we want to create.

My primary goal for the past several years has been to create Peace in my life. I have slowly let go of old, outdated behaviors, habits, friends and even entertainment choices that reflected a focus on violence and non-peace.

I learned to meditate on a regular basis which helped me create a conscious distinction between the chaos of the world and who I am as a spiritual being to enable me to “be in the world, but not of it.”

In my next post, I will share one way we could make Peace a collective focus.

Until then…Namaste (which means, the light inside of me recognizes the light inside of you and knows we are One.)
